Cocktail Hour: Fuzzy Navel

Peach Schnapps is an acquired taste. It's far too sweet for me, but I know Jane is a big fan. And it seem that a lot of other people are as well. It's something that I remember drinking throughout my teens, but that was it.

But, it's sneaking onto more cocktail menus recently, so I thought I'd give you a recipe for a Fuzzy Navel. It's been around since the 80s. Like most bright and garish things that give you a hangover. Tom Cruise in Cocktail has a lot to answer for.

You'll need:
  • 50ml peach schnapps
  • 50ml orange juice
Shake it!

Pour the schnapps into a glass, top up with orange juice and stir well. Watch 80s Tom Cruise films.

  1. Peach schnapps with orange juice was one of my very first tipples of choice. If only I'd realised it had a proper name, then I'd have looked a lot more sophisticated drinking it!Obviously I might have also looked more sophisticated if I'd avoided hopelessly trying to snog boys before falling over and crying after partaking of said drink too!

  2. Ahhh Peach Schnapps you've just reminded me of a very unfortunate 23rd birthday. I was in the army at the time - in northern ireland - and it involved the NAAFI disco and large amounts of peach schnapps. The after effects wasnt pretty and i've never even been able to eat a peach since lol! Oh the shame!!!!
