Cute or Creepy? Pink Girl Lamp from Ghost Furniture

Like the SUCK UK Teddybear Lamp we featured a while back, it seems that giving items lampshades instead of heads gives them surreal, sinister look even when the critter underneath isn't cute and cuddly. So, I'm not entirely convinced by this lamp.

Upcycled from a dull beige angel ornament with some matte raspberry paint, a vintage lampshade upholstered with pink and bronze silk and a handful of buttons, the finished product is certainly unique, and has a certain fairytale glamour. But would you have it in your home? What do you think? It's £275, from Ghost Furniture on Bouf.

  3. I love how people have started calling rubbish 'Upcycled' and sticking huge price tags on them.

    This should actually say "Cobbled together from car boot tat, spray painted and now available to give as a gift to someone you really dislike."

    Must be nice to have so much disposable income you can dispose of it on JUNK!

    Totally revolting. Like those jewellery stands with coathanger heads. The tag line should be "Ghost, bringing you all worlds of crap cobbled together and charging you a fortune."

  10. Wow, that is so wrong on so many different levels it's actually difficult to articulate. I actually voted 'cute' on the teddy.. this, on the other hand, is £275 of monstrosity.

  16. Hey you can't please all of the people all of the time. I have to cater for a wide range of tastes and this one was for the wacky amongst us - they do exist. I don't take these things personally. I put myself out there and have to be open to criticism. Thanks for your response.
