I like it when exciting new designers just pop into my day. Yesterday my day was empty of Woodstock wallpaper and then this morning Rachel Powell's gorgeous geometric prints are staring me square in the face willing me to redecorate.
There's something a little retro about the designs, but they're still cute. And I think the styling is bang on - they'd look perfect in the kitchen.
Like geometric patterns but don't care for cute tweety birds? Then Powell's Prudence paper is probably for you. Also, I'd like that radio please. I'm redecorating so I'm being very easily influenced by lovely styling at the moment.
Rachel's designs are a fairly reasonable £68 for a 10m roll (look, it could be worse) and helpfully her A4 samples are just 70p. Any sample smaller than that just isn't worth sending out (are you listening, Laura Ashley?) And there's bonus non-wallpaper news: if you're not in the market for a total overhaul, you can buy Rachel's designs on tea towels for a tenner.
