This weekend is a big weekend for me: the weekend of The Party, a yearly mammoth night of dancing and excessive bubbly-consumption with all my lovely work colleagues. I thought I'd found The Dress a few weeks ago and it's hanging on the back of my bedroom door, but after finding the perfect eyelashes last week, I'm now having a bit of dress-doubt.
So the plan this week was to look for a last minute stunner of a dress as a just-in-case. Because let's face it: we all want to be the girl with the dress everyone else is coveting, right?
Oh mama, have I found the one:
Miss Selfridge can be hit and miss when it comes to dresses, but I swear my ticker stopped ticking for a second when I saw this embellished waist maxi dress.
Just look at it: the classic off-cream colour, the swishiest of swishy skirts, and the glimmery jewel detail in just the right place to give me (at least the illusion of) that hourglass figure I've been craving. Isn't it just divine?
It's £59 - a perfectly non-bankrupting amount of money for a dress - and I believe it was designed for goddesses and ME.
