Cocktail Hour: Get Trollied

Cocktail Hour isn't something that we do anymore. Happy hour doesn't count. Going out for 'just one drink' after work and eating chips at 1am isn't quite the same. But arriving home after work and opening a cold beer making a cocktail is the best way take to take the edge off a crappy day. I'm in the market for an old fashioned bar trolley so I can make the most of all of those cocktail recipes from The Boy and His Poison.

This West Elm mid-century bar cart is gorgeous. It's making me want to have people over for drinks immediately (and I'm very interested in those bottles on the bottom shelf). It's £329 and there's a space in my living room where it would look perfect. With an old fashioned, obviously.

Apparently this industrial kitchen trolley is perfect for oils, herbs and storage jars. Nope. Now it's perfect for limes, tonic and a bottle of bathtub gin. It's £249 from Rockett St George. The Last Word is the perfect cocktail for this little number.

The Mint List have a whole bunch of vintage drinks trolleys for sale, all of various sizes and prices. You can find them as cheaply as £150. Serve a classic whisky daisy from your wares.

This Block table is by Normann Copenhagen and it's such a brilliant colour. I'm all for things mint at the moment. The shelves are rubber and it comes in all different colours. It's £180 it's only right that you make a minty cocktail to go with it. This peach and mint julep will look perfect.

Saving my favourite until last, this new drinks trolley from the Fonteyn range at made.com looks like it should be whizzing down a private jet. It's made of walnut and it's even got a secret drawer for secret things. The red lacquer is perfect and needs a deep red martinez cocktail to sit on top of it.
