Plus Size Picks: Cut For Evans

Few launches in the plus size market caused as much stir as Evans’ recent ‘Cut’ collection. Designed by talented students from Bournemouth and Kingston Universities, the modern, daring pieces use lots of colour, bright prints and bold detail (take a look at them talking about the experience in the video below). Obviously this didn’t go down particularly well with the so-called tent brigade who believe anyone over a size 16 should wear all black all the time. A plus size woman? In a green, yellow and red printed jumpsuit? Why the hell not?!

)

Yes, these pieces are bold, but that’s no reason not to give them a go. There's a way of working these cool pieces into any look. To prove this, I’ve taken one of the line’s slightly more subdued pieces, the bright knitted skirt (£29.50) and given you three very different ways to wear it. Say yes to prints, black is boring!

  1. It's REALLY refreshing to see high street companies working with young designers instead of just ripping off their designs. The pieces aren't to my style, but I'll always applaud brilliant initiatives that use pattern and colour.

    1. Yeah, it's great. And it must be such a fantastic experience for the designers too, to be work with a high street chain, and see how it all works.
